BLOG TOUR REVIEW... Beauty and The Boss by Diane Alberts + Giveaway!!

Beauty is about to tame her beast...
Researcher Maggie Donovan has no luck with men, and it doesn't help that she can't keep her eyes off of her sexy boss - the one everyone else in the office calls The Beast. Relationships in the office are forbidden. So no one is more surprised than Maggie when she pretends to be his fiancée to save him during a difficult situation. Not only has she put her job on the line, but the future of the company.
Billionaire Benjamin Gale III doesn't believe in love or romance, but the look on his mother's face when Maggie tells her that she's his fiancée is worth millions. Instead of firing her for her insubordination, he goes along with the ruse. In his arms-and in his bed-she'd be everything he could ever want…which is why he can't have her.
But if he doesn't let her go, they'll lose everything…

This Book Nerd Says:
More Beauty than Beast!
This was without a doubt an enjoyable read for me. I enjoyed the retelling of the well known story of Beauty meets Beast but what was even better was the fact that it was it's own story.
While the story moves pretty quickly we aren't left in want of understanding the connection that Maggie and Benjamin have. It's apparent from the beginning and addressed consistently. Despite their being from two different worlds, they each brought a refreshing balance to each others lives.
Maggie is quirky and fun and I love the light she brought to the story. She was one of those characters I'd put on my list of "book besties". She was down to earth and yet never dimmed her own intelligence and personality for the sake of the situation around her.
One of my very favorite things about this story was the maturity of the characters (in particular Benjamin). I like the way they consistently called each other out on things. Benjamin calls Maggie out on the reasoning behind her hesitation; Maggie calls him out about hiding his emotions behind the "Beast" label.
The drama was expected and the villain does a fantastic job at being villainous. But the ending was lovely, sweet, and utterly romantic and left me with that fluttery feeling of contentment.

I feel like the only thing that really gave me reason to pause was that I didn't truly understand Benjamin being called a beast.
Serious... yes.
Emotionally detached... a bit.
But beastly... No. At least not to me.

Overall I'd give this story 4 Stars.
