RELEASE BLITZ.... The Fire Between High & Lo by Brittainy C. Cherry + REVIEW!

Title: The Fire Between High & Lo
Series: Romance Elements #2
Author: Brittainy C. Cherry
Genre: Romance
 Release Date: March 25, 2016

There once was a boy, and I loved him.

Logan Francis Silverstone and I were complete opposites. I danced, and he stood still. He was quiet, while I ran my mouth. He struggled to find a smile, and I refused to frown.

The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn't look away.

We were broken together, yet somehow whole. We were wrong together, but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.

Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision--a decision that changed us forever.

There once was a boy, and I loved him.

And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.

This Book Nerd Says:

Love is friendship on fire.

That quote was echoing in my head the entire time I read Logan and Alyssa's story. Alyssa is the good girl and Logan is the bad boy with bad habits and they understand each other in a way that no one else does. Forming a friendship not many understood but one that proved vital to their survival, Alyssa loves Logan for all his good and accepts him for all the bad even when it hurts her like a pain she's never felt.

Logan knows what love can do to someone. He sees the pain of it everyday as he watches the downward spiral of his own mother. It's the reason why he tries and fails to stop himself from falling in love with his best friend.

Don't be fooled, The Fire Between High & Lo is unlike any other friends to lovers story you've probably read. Brittainy C. Cherry took the story of Logan and Alyssa, infused it with a palpable pain and beautiful unrelenting pull between these two, and gave us readers a story that squeezes your heart and sets it afire.

"A person didn't fall in love. They dissolved into it."

We get to fall in love with Logan at his lowest of lows and then again as he climbs to find his high again. We fall in love over and over because despite the pain in the story of Logan's childhood and his struggle with his parents, the beauty is overwhelming and Logan's heart and soul leaps off the pages with his beautiful words.

We get love and anguish, friendship and family. Hatred and redemption. Sad tears and happy ones.

4 Stars for this touching love story!
