The O'Brien Family Series Book Two
Cecy Robson
Releasing April 19th, 2016

Once he was broken beyond repair. Now this MMA contender is fighting to be a better man—for her. RT Book Reviews proclaims that the O’Brien Family series from award-winning author Cecy Robson “has the hottest brothers ever!” And in Let Me, it is Finn’s turn to discover how love can heal the deepest wounds.

A mixed martial arts star on the rise, Finn O’Brien dismantles his opponents with brutal precision. And yet beneath his fierce persona, Finn is raw from a trauma he’s buried for years . . . until the day his deep-rooted rage erupts and lands him in court-mandated therapy. Finn’s not one to bare his soul, but if talking it out means meeting beautiful women like Sol Marieles, he’ll give it a shot.

Sol is working toward her master’s degree in psychology, and already she feels like she’s in over her head. With an important internship on the line and a scary family situation demanding her attention, the last thing Sol needs is Finn around to distract her. The man is ripped and seriously sexy yet it’s his troubled side that warns her to keep her distance. But their attraction is intense, and he clearly has the heat to see how far and fast their passion takes them.

Alone, Finn and Sol have been fighting to find happiness in their lives. Together, there’s no stopping them as they face their greatest challenges—not in the ring, but in their hearts.

This Book Nerd Says:

This was very much an anticipated read for me. I read the first book in the O'Brien series, ONCE KISSED, and fell head over heels in love with the O'Brien boys. Having said that, I found that Let Me stood on its own as a pretty solid standalone read so if you are thinking about jumping into this one first, have no worries.

Finn and Sol's story is a pretty heavy one on both of their individual sides. This story deals with more than one serious topics and I found that it treated them very respectfully. There was far less fluff in this story, but I feel that it was equal parts heart warming and heart wrenching. Told in dual POVs we get a pretty solid picture of the characters lives and struggles as they come together to great a haven of sorts from all the going ons in their lives.

My favorite part of the story was Finn. I'm a sucker for the beautiful strong guy with the emotional bruises from the past. His sensitivity was so close to the surface of his character yet too far from easy discovery. His journey is what kept me turning page after page. He lived up to my expectation of what I'd get from another O'Brien boy.

I did find a little bit more drama in the last half of the book than I felt necessary. I think that Finn and Sol had enough going on in their love story without adding the extra so for me personally it was a little bit of an interest drop.
But it all came together with a beautiful ending and one that got me excited for what's next in this series.

I'm giving it 3.75 stars
